Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Hudson Valley

The first official snowfall estimates for a weekend storm have been released by the National Weather Service.

Looks as if snow is coming back to the Hudson Valley this coming weekend. A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties:

A fast moving storm system will pass to the south and east of the area Saturday night into Sunday morning. An accumulating snow is likely, which may mix with rain at the coast. At this time, the potential for 6 or more inches is low.

Low, but not impossible.

"We still have a lot of details to iron out… (the storm is just over 3 days away)… but there is the very real possibility that the storm could drop 3 to 6 inches of snow across portions of the Hudson Valley," said the guys at Hudson Valley Weather.

The storm is expected to come up the valley. Dutchess and Ulster counties have very different snowfall total estimates from the NWS:
