Learn to Read Hebrew

Free class at First Hebrew Congregatin

Every Tuesday at 7 p.m., First Hebrew Congregation will hold a free class where you can learn to read Hebrew. Neither previous experience nor temple membership is required. First Hebrew is located on the border of Cortlandt and Peekskill, at 1821 Main St. (Route 6, just west of Beach Shopping Center.) For information call 914-739-0500 or email fhc@firsthebrew.org. Visit www.firsthebrew.org.

First Hebrew is an egalitarian, Conservative synagogue with many free programs for children and adults, including family services, a social action committee, adult education and an unconventional Hebrew school known as the Jewish Learning Experience. People from many surrounding communities come to First Hebrew for its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. For more than one hundred years First Hebrew has been generating pride in the Jewish heritage.
