Ossining and Croton-On-Hudson Natives Honored by SUNY Oswego

Five students from the Ossining and Croton-On-Hudson area achieved Dean's List recognition for spring 2016 at SUNY Oswego.

Several area students at SUNY Oswego achieved Dean's List recognition for earning a grade point average of 3.3 to 3.79 in spring 2016.

  • Nicholas R. Derbabian of Melrose Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson, a sophomore majoring in broadcasting and mass communication
  • Samantha M. Furtzaig of Park Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson, a junior majoring in communication and social interaction
  • Kathleen E. Haynes of Wells Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson, a senior majoring in broadcasting and mass communication
  • Vincent A. Oles of Ridge Road in Croton-on-Hudson, a sophomore majoring in undeclared
  • Grace A. Lombardi of Ganung Drive in Ossining, a senior majoring in human resource management

Oswego students earning a GPA of 3.8 to 4.0 were recognized on the college's President's List.

Admission to SUNY Oswego is competitive. U.S. News Media Group counts SUNY Oswego among the top public regional universities in the North for 2016, and the Princeton Review includes Oswego in its 2016 college guidebook "The Best Northeastern Colleges" and in its national list of "Green Colleges."
