Trio Charged With Robbing, Stabbing Teen in Bohemia

The incident occurred Friday afternoon, police say.

BOHEMIA, NY - Three people have been arrested for robbing and stabbing a 17-year-old male at a trailer park in Bohemia on Friday afternoon, police said.

According to police, multiple people got into an altercation with the victim at The Bunker Hill Village trailer park, located north of Sunrise Highway between Johnson and Lincoln avenues, at about 12:30 p.m.

During the altercation the victim was robbed of $750, a smart phone, and a debit card. While the victim struggled with the subjects, he was stabbed in the back and sustained lacerations to his neck and a deep wound in his back that punctured his lung, police said.

The victim was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore via Sayville Community Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

After an investigation by Fifth Squad detectives, two subjects, Robert Cerna and Amanda Bianco were located at the Lakeland Inn in Bohemia and arrested. The third suspect, Anthony Novotny was arrested on Terry Road in Sayville, police said.

  • Cerna, 22, of Brentwood, was charged with first degree robbery, fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, false personation and two active warrants.
  • Bianco, 20, of Brookhaven, was charged with first degree, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Novotny, 18, of Sayville, was charged with first degree robbery.

All three were being held at the Fifth Precinct in Patchogue and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
