Hour-By-Hour Forecast For Latest Snow, Ice Storm In Cortlandt, Peekskill

When will this one end?

The Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service for northern Westchester County says that the periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.

“Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving,” the NWS said.

The alert is in force until 6 a.m. tomorrow, though the probability of precipitation drops sharply after 1 a.m.

Icy roads overnight with the prospect of more to come caused school officials in Lakeland, Hendrick Hudson and Peekskill districts to close for the day. The plethora of snow days will mean modifications to school calendars this spring.

10AM-noon: snow, temperatures rising from 20-24 degrees, winds from the north-northeast at 9 mph.

1-4PM: light snow, 24 degrees, winds NNE 11 mph

4-7PM: snow showers, 25 degrees, winds steady.

7-10PM: light snow, dropping to 22 degrees, winds steady.

10PM-midnight: snow showers, temperatures 22, winds 9 mph

3-7AM: cloudy, 23 degrees, winds 11 mph
