PMHS Science Research Students Compete
PMHS science research students' recently participated at the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium.

PELHAM, NY - From Pelham Public Schools: PMHS Science Research students had a spectacular showing at this year’s Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. This year’s event had over 650 students competing in three levels: Speaker Presenters (seniors only - with an opportunity to move on to the state level), competitive posters and display posters. Impressively, seven out of the nine PMHS seniors who competed qualified for States, which will be held March 7 at the University at Albany with three of the students having a chance to win a spot and compete at Nationals. Additionally, four students placed in the top two for the poster competition.
“This was a true team effort as students, together with Dr. Callahan (Director of Math and Science) worked tirelessly helping each other through the months and especially the final weeks leading up to this competition,” said Science Research Teacher Steve Beltecas.
