Local Artists Featured Monday

In celebration of Yom HaAtzmaut (Israeli Independence Day,) is featuring photography of its members who traveled to Israel recently. It's one of many events around the area Monday.

Monday's events include:

1. Temple Chaverim presents "Impressions of Israel: featuring artistic and creative images of the sights of Israel: the people, shopping, nature, foods, landscapes, buildings and more with personal commentaries from the artists themselves. This week-long event is free and open to the general public to enjoy.

2. Artist Carrie Liebman's mixed media collages are featured Monday evening at the  from 7-9 p.m. The event is presented by the Independent Art Society. Refreshments included. Open to all.

3. The  offers a discussion with the Rabbi on current topics. Please bring your own lunch. The event is free and begins at 12:30 p.m.5. 

4. A day-ahead heads-up: Tuesday night is "Candidates Night" at the , from  7–9 p.m. Three school board candidates vying for two positions will take questions from the public. Tuesday's event will be moderated by the League of Women Voters.
