Rousing Parade Kicks Off Summer

In case you missed it, Plainview Patch has extensive coverage of the big Memorial Day Parade.

Tuesday's options include:

2. is holding an open house Tuesday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. It's an opportunity for family members to look into joining a synagogue this year or offering their children a Jewish education. Prospective members can stop by any weekday for a tour, to meet the clergy and professional staff and pick up a membership packets.

3. The stock market is a puzzlement: But there's a meeting Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. that can help demystify it. The  hosts a meeting of the Long Island Stock Traders Meeting Group , which discusses financial topics related to events affecting the markets.

4. A new exhibit at the features more than 50 photos of photographer The event runs daily through Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. And, the museum is screening six films in collaboration with the. All six films complement the Avedon exhibit. For a complete listing of these films, click here.
