Singles Event at Holiday Inn; Circus in Town

Winter is nearly over; good weather weekend on tap.

The last weekend of winter brings spring-like temperatures to Long Island and makes for a great opportunity to get out around town. There's a singles event at the Holiday Inn Friday night and lots of entertainment options around the area.

1. Spring is in the air and, to some, means its time for romance. The  is the setting for dancing and mingling for singles, ages 29-59 Friday evening. Free dance CD, ladies 1/2 price drinks until 10 p.m.

2. plays the for two Friday performances, at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Cost: $73, $53, $33, $23, $18

3. s theatre and dance department presents the dark, 1966 Broadway hit which captures the repression and anti-Semitism that marked the rise of the Third Reich. Friday-Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday at 3 p.m. Price: $15, $12. for seniors 55 and older, free for current college students.

4. Both Plainview middle schools hold their regular Friday recreation night. All district 5th & 6th graders go to ; 7th and 8th graders head to Sessions run from 7-9 p.m.
