Empire City Casino sees Record HALF MILLION DOLLAR Jackpot Hit by Port Chester player

A Port Chester man hit the largest jackpot in the eight-year history of Empire City Casino (Yonkers, NY) on Friday night (February 27th). Manuel Esteche took home the $571,049.05 prize with a mere $2.50 spin on the Bally Blazing 7 slot machine (1-cent denomination) at 11:30 PM.

But the biggest jackpot in history approaching the million dollar mark – an $868,000 life-changer – is still up for grabs.

In November, Moosue Stefern of Bergenfield, New Jersey hit a record-breaking $509,121.96 at Empire City, which was more than double the previous jackpot record. At the time, it was the biggest jackpot since the Yonkers “racino” first opened in 2006, but now moves into second place.

The slots have been hot at Empire City. Just three nights before Esteche’s record-breaker, “Ella” from Brooklyn hit the third largest jackpot in Empire City annals with a $222,459.74 pot on February 24th.
