Police Respond To Port Jeff Ferry After Alleged Bomb Threat
Police determined the situation to be a misunderstanding.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A potential bomb threat at the Port Jefferson Ferry Dock on Wednesday turned out to be a misunderstanding, Suffolk County Police said.
Police responded to the dock around 1:20 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a passenger had been overheard discussing the potential to put a bomb on the boat, police said.
Police interviewed the passengers after they got off the boat, and determined the situation to be a misunderstanding, they said.

Police deemed the incident non-criminal in nature and no arrests were made.
