Port Jeff Holiday Helpers Make Season Bright
Students and staff make the holidays bright for local families.

Thanks to students and staff at Port Jefferson’s Earl L. Vandermeulen High School and Middle School, eight families in need will have a joyful holiday season.
Throughout the month of December, school social worker Kristin Britt worked with staff, students and the PTSA to collect gifts for the families through an adopt-a-family program, called Holiday Helpers.
The 12-year-old program, Britt said, not only provides gifts to families within the school district, but also food baskets, Christmas trees, gift cards and other items they may need to make their holiday cheerful and bright.
