Port Jeff Station Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash
BREAKING: The motorcyclist ran a stop sign, police say. It's the third fatal motorcycle crash on Long Island in eight days.

CENTEREACH, NY – A 27-year-old Port Jefferson Station man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a car in Centereach Monday night, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, John Greehy was a riding 2013 Badas motorcycle east on Gould Road when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of North Washington Avenue at 9:47 p.m. The motorcycle was struck by a 2014 Mini Cooper that was heading south on North Washington Avenue.
Greehy was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mini Cooper, 50-year-old James Conner, of Centereach, was transported by the Centereach Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
It's the third fatal motorcycle crash on Long Island over an eight-day period. A 20-year-old man was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a flatbed track in Westbury on July 2 after the motorcycle went through a red light, police said. On July 9, a 23-year-old motorcyclist died after a 95-year-old driver cut him off in West Babylon.
