Port Jeff Student Performs At Prestigious Concert
Ava Schully recently performed in the National Association for Music Education All-Eastern music conference in Pittsburgh.
From Port Jeff Schools: Earl L. Vandermeulen High School student Ava Schully recently performed in the National Association for Music Education All-Eastern music conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A senior, Ava is a cellist who was accepted first as an All-State musician, and then selected to perform following a rigorous application process; representing the finest student musicians throughout the Eastern Division.
“On behalf of the school district, we congratulate Ava on her outstanding musical achievement,” said Dr. Michael Caravello, the Port Jefferson School District’s director of music and fine arts.
