• LIRR aims to boost capacity on Port Washington line (newsday.com) — Port Washington riders could soon see more frequent LIRR trains as a $155 million project moves forward to extend yard tracks and modernize the local station. Planned work includes new platforms, sidewalks, parking areas, and roof repairs, after town officials reversed earlier opposition amid complaints about limited direct service to Penn Station and Grand Central.
