Schreiber Grad Turned Book Mogul Honored by Town of North Hempstead

Paul D. Schreiber High School graduate and New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber was recognized by the Town of North Hempstead for all of his success in the publishing world on Tuesday night.

Weber, who was joined by Jeffery Dumpson and Walter Nixon of Urban Books Media LLC at the ceremony, was presented a proclamation from the Town.

Known as the “P. Diddy of the publishing world,” Weber is considered one of the premiere African American authors in the country, according to his website.

He has published more than 2,500 hundred books and written 22 novels, 14 of which have become New York Times bestsellers.

Weber has also recently branched out into screen writing and has turned three of his bestselling novels into independent films.

Weber just had his book, “The Man in 3B,” adapted into a film through his production company, Urban Books Media LLC. Watch the movie trailer here:
