Spring Cleaning: Port Washington Residents Spruce up Main Street
Residents helped with weeding, mulching and cleaning at the Annual Clean Green Main Street event last weekend.
Dozens of volunteers from the Port Washington community came out to beautify Main Street last weekend.
Residents helped with weeding, mulching and cleaning up any dirt and debris from the winter season at the Clean Green Main Street event.
Attendees were able to learn about the Town’s environmental initiatives, including the Composting Cooperative and Rain Barrel programs, from the Town’s Sustainability Department.

The Town of North Hempstead partnered with Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington to host Clean Green Main Street, which was held at the Port Washington Long Island Railroad station.
Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio, Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman and Town Clerk Wayne Wink helped out with the clean-up efforts.
