Stocked Cafe To Open Prospect Heights Burger Joint

Stocked Burger owners plan open on Washington Avenue in 2019, city records show.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN -- A second Stocked is coming to Prospect Heights, city records show.

Stocked Cafe owners came one step closer to opening a burger joint at 663 Washington Ave. after Community Board 8 voted unanimously to approve their beer, wine and cider license on Thursday.

Stocked Burger will take over the 1,100-square-foot space near St. Marks Avenue that belonged to Taqueria De Los Muertos for about a decade, until it closed in September, according to city records.

Stocked Cafe owners Matthew Fulton and Lesley Covitz hope to serve a wide array of burgers - classic, organic, Japanese beef, veggie and even bone marrow -alongside thick-cut fries at the 30-seat restaurant, the pair told Bklyner.

“We wanted something a little different,” Fulton said. “We’ve been wanting to open up another neighborhood place for quite a while."
