Riverhead Walmart sent two local employees, Walmart Personnel Manager Becky McFadden and Zone Merchandise Supervisor Karen Freeman, to the Phillips Avenue Elementary School during this holiday season to give twenty $50 gift cards to the lucky teachers whose names were drawn from a proverbial holiday gift basket.
To make the event more festive, Phillips Avenue Principal Debra Rodgers drew and announced the winning teachers’ names during an assembly that featured the fourth grade chorus, who was giving a practice concert to the school body.
