Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint on New Year's Day Morning: Police
BREAKING: The two gunmen fled the scene, police said.

CALVERTON, NY — A Calverton gas station was robbed at gunpoint early on New Year's Day morning, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a call came in at 5:35 a.m. from an employee of the Bolla Market/Mobile Gas Station, located at 3705 Middle Country Road.
The employee said he'd just been robbed at gunpoint by two unknown individuals demanding money who fled on foot in an unknown direction after receiving the cash, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department's detective division was notified and responded; the incident is under investigation and anyone with any information is requested to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500, police said.
Later on New Year's Day, a second armed robbery of a gas station was reported in Wainscott, police said.
