State Police Report: Two DWI Arrests, Two Drug Arrests

State Police reported the following arrests this week:

• A 28-year-old Bethpage man was arrested for possession of marijuana on Monday, Jan. 5. He was stopped for a traffic violation on I495 westbound west of Exit 73 in Riverhead. He was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Riverhead Court on Jan. 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.

• Tomas A. Algua-Tecum, 28, of Westhampton, was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Algua-Tecum was stopped on Peconic Avenue in Riverhead for multiple traffic violations. He was held overnight for arraignment at the Town of Riverhead Court on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015.

• A 24-year-old Westhampton Beach man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after being stopped for speeding on Cr-104 southbound south of CR-105 in Riverside on Friday, Jan. 9. He was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on Jan. 21, 2015 at 9 a.m.

• Andrew J. Reeves, 24. of East Quogue, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Sunday, Jan. 11. Reeves was stopped for a traffic violation on Vail Avenue in East Quogue. He issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on Jan. 26, 2015 at 9 a.m.
