The Bunny Is Back: Egg Hunts Return, And Not A Hare Too Soon

The Town of Rye's Easter Egg Hunt and the City of Rye's Carole D. Kirby Memorial Easter Egg Hunt will both take place this Saturday.

RYE, NY — The pandemic may have put some spring traditions on hold for longer than expected, but those traditions haven't been forgotten.

The Town of Rye will be holding its Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Egg Hunt time will be 9 a.m. for children under 5 who are accompanied by a guardian. Children ages 6 to 10 will be able to hunt for eggs at 10 a.m.

Make sure to bring a basket/bag for egg collecting. The Easter Bunny will be hopping about so you'll be able to snap some photos.

Crawford Park is located at 122 N. Ridge St. in Rye Brook.

It's also time for City of Rye children to get ready for the return of the Carole D. Kirby Memorial Easter Egg Hunt.

The Egg Hunt is back to being in person this year for the first time since 2019 and will be held at the Rye Rec Park on Saturday, April 16. Lineup will begin at the basketball courts at 10:30 a.m. The Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Bring a bag/basket for egg collecting.

The free event is for children ages 2 to 5th grade who will be divided into separate sections by age group.

The Carole D. Kirby Memorial Easter Egg Hunt is presented by The Ladies Auxiliary of the Rye Fire Department and the Rye Fire Department. For more information, call 914-967-2535 or visit the website.
