Local Attorneys Gary Zuckerman and Aldo Vitagliano Seek Rye Town Supervisor Post
The two are looking to replace Joe Carvin.

Democrat Gary Zuckerman and Republic Aldo Vitagliano recently announced their candidacies for the Town of Rye Supervisor’s position being vacated by Joe Carvin.
The Rye City Review reports that both candidates have extensive experience in municipal government, with Zuckerman having served as a Rye Brook Trustee, and Vitagliano having served as Rye Town Attorney.
“When Joe Carvin decided he was going to step down and people were looking for candidates, I had the credentials,” Vitagliano told the Review. “It was the right time for me to consider stepping up and doing a little more public service.”

“When I decided that I would run for supervisor, one of the things I saw was that there was a lot of conflict, sometimes between parties, between areas of the town,” Zuckerman told the Review. He is currently Chairman of the Planning Board. “It’s the same thing that’s being reflected on a national basis, on a state basis, even in the county, that people were aligned in parties in different areas.”
