• Part of Oakland Beach Avenue Will Close Overnight This Week During Sewer Main Repairs (ryerecord.com) — Overnight closures are coming to Oakland Beach Avenue as the City of Rye repairs a sewer main, shutting the stretch between Allendale Drive and Chamberlain Street from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Through traffic will be detoured north to Playland Parkway, while a longer portion of Oakland Beach Avenue will be restricted to local traffic only, so plan alternate routes now.
