Rye Brook Coach John DiCanio said that Elmsford is good enough to maintain leads when attempting a comeback.
"They are too good a team to play catch up against," DiCanio said.
But DiCanio said that Rye Brook had a good season, beating Dobbs Ferry 9-2 in his team's first tournament game, but then losing to Sherman Park, 10-0, in a similar game to Tuesday's.
DiCanio said Rye Brook has weaknesses that need to be improved.
"We don't have the fire to comeback," he said.
Even though Rye Brook's Little League season is over, players and coaches will be involved with summer league games starting this week.
Chris Dutra pitched two innings for Rye Brook. Austin Lavitt pitched two innings as well, retiring eight batters.
