The Rye Brook 13 and under baseball team lost to the Diamond Buddies Tuesday.
The Rye Brook 13 and under baseball team relinquished a 3-1 lead to lose 6-3 Tuesday to the Diamond Buddies at Blind Brook High School.

The Diamond Buddies tied it at 3-3 in the bottom of the third to eventually lead 5-3 on four walks from Rye Brook's Christian Schorner heading into the fourth inning.
It would stay that way in the top of the fifth despite Rye Brook's attempt to score more runs in the 6-3 loss.

Schorner struckout two batters, walking six in three innings pitched.
Teddy Sabato had one walk and one strikeout in one inning of relief.
Other players have been used on the mound since Rye Brook is spread thin position and numbers-wise.
Pitcher Joel Langstein cannot be used too much, so that his pitching arm is still effective even with Rye Brook's hectic schedule.
With no other classified pitchers, players such as Schorner must throw on the mound. Other players must play other postions as well.
Sabato said this has probably affected Rye Brook's energy level.
"The kids are tired," Sabato said.
Sabato also said run production was an issue.
"We're hitting the ball but we're not getting a lot of runs," he said.
Rye Brook came into the day winning four out of their last five games to currently stand at 4-7. Rye Brook played a double header this past Saturday against the Westchester Wolverines, winning 12-7, 7-0, followed by a 13-1 win over Pleasantville Monday.
The team will play an away game at Nanuet High School Friday against the Riverdogs Carolina and a double header Saturday against New Castle at Blind Brook High School.
Tuesday's game was originally scheduled to be played at Woodlands High School, but weather and field conditions forced its relocation to the baseball field at Blind Brook.
Parents and coaches assisted in preparing a safe playing field, delaying the 5:45 p.m. start to 6:20 p.m.
Umpires called then called the game after the top of the fifth due to darkness.
