Rye Brook Summer League Teams

Eight and Under

The eight and unders currently stand at 6-5 after winning two games while suffering two defeats. Mount Pleasant got the best of them in a 12-3 defeat Friday. Rye Brook then earned two straight victories 8-3 over Pleasantville, Saturday and 17-7 over the Cortlandt Frozen Ropes Tuesday. The eight year olds look for win number seven against Port Chester Wednesday after a 7-1 loss to Ardsley last Wednesday.

Nine and Under White

Vin Repaci's squad won two out of three games this week improving to 6-4 on the season. The nine and unders escaped the Frozen Ropes 8-7 Thursday but suffered a 7-1 defeat to New Castle Monday. The second win came 15-7 over New Rochelle Wednesday. Next up is another game against New Castle on Monday.

Nine and Under Blue

The nine and under blues improved to 7-1 this week after beating New Canaan 10-2 Thursday. A rainout Sunday didn't cause a distraction for Rye Brook who routed Ardsley 11-1 Tuesday followed by an 11-0 over Ardsley Wednesday. The Old Greenwich Riverside Community Center-Thunder Blues are the last team on the schedule which makes for a superb season record-wise.

10 and Under

The 10 and unders extended their three game winning streak to seven games; their most recent victories coming 13-2 over New Canaan, 18-7 against the Pelham Gold Team, and a 10-1 rout over Pacoy. Rye Brook then slipped past the Stamford West American League team 7-6 Wednesday. The Hillcrest White team is the next foe on Monday.

12 and Under

The 12 and unders kept their streak alive this week with four out of five victories this week to improve to 5-4. Wins included a 14-0 shutout over the DTP Gators Friday which was followed up by a 15-1 rout of the Hillcrest White team Friday. The squad would beat Ardsley, 6-3, Sunday but suffer a 12-3 rout themselves to the Hillcrest Whites the next day. Their next game against Ardsley resulted in an 8-8 tie Wednesday. The players look to finish the season above .500 Monday at Mount Vernon.

13 and Under

The 13 and unders are currently 9-9 after splitting their series with the Riverdogs Carolina, 16-9 in the first game of a doubleheader victory, but suffering defeat in the second game 4-1. It wouldn't be long before the squad redeemed themselves the next day 14-7 over Harrison. Rye Brook has a shot at climbing above .500 in their last game Thursday against the The Westchester Wolverines.

16 and Under

The 16 and unders won three games in a row this week to currently stand at 9-13. After losing 15-5 to Yorktown Thursday and a cancelled game against Greenburgh Friday, Rye Brook earned a 6-1 victory over the opponent Saturday. The game would be the only one the two teams would get in as the third game in their series was rained out. The next two wins came in the form of an 8-5 victory over the Gotham's 16 and under team followed by a 4-2 win against Somers Tuesday. Rye Brook was then routed by the Gotham 16 u's, 13-2 Wednesday in the second meeting between the two teams in three days. The season has now wrapped up.
