B-BP Girls XC League VII Champs, Again
The girls cross-country team garners the league title for the second consecutive year; team hopes to finish with 5-0 on Oct. 18 before entering the Division and County meets.

The Bayport-Blue Point High School varsity girls cross country team, under head Coach Vin Ungaro, defeatingΒ previously unbeaten Center Moriches 21-39.Β Β
With a combination of strong leadership and young talent, Bayport-Blue PointΒ ran the fastest five girl average (19:58.8) in school history on the 3-mile Sunken Meadow course, previously held by the 2002 Bayport-Blue Point State Championship Team.Β
The Phantoms were paced byΒ (18:53) and (19:10) with solid performances from senior Shannon O'Hara (20:32)Β and freshmen (20:35) and (20:44).Β The Phantoms face Southampton on Oct. 18 to potentially finish a perfect 5-0 before entering the Division and County meets respectively.Β
