A journey unlike few others: The Lobster Roll Diary

Now that the great Pannini wave has ebbed at delis and local restaurants, there appears to be a huge trend when it comes to 'lobster roll' entrees at many local eateries.

So I'm embarking on a personal journey on behalf of the public: I'm going to indulge, over the course of June, and try every lobster roll offering between West Sayville and Blue Point and give my personal take on taste, freshness, presentation, side accompainments and price, though it $17.95 seems to be 'the' price from what I've seen.

Then when I've figured out the best, I'll bribe the chef/cook to give up his or her recipe right here on Patch.
