In case you missed it, there is a new sex offender in the district.

Back to school is an exciting time and as such it is once again time to prepare for the upcoming school year. And what better way to do that then to go on the school district website and see whats new. http://bbpschools.org/ So you could imagine my horror when I saw an announcement of a level 3 sex offender now residing in Blue Point. I promptly went to the state website to get specifics on the individual in question mug shot, address, nature of offense and such. I am familiar with the address listed and I must say that I am not surprised. I wont list the address here because I don't know what the legalities of that are but I will say that I believe the property is maintained by an absentee landlord and he seems to not care about who he rents to as I have seen several sketchy looking individuals mulling about the yard. I googled the street address and the official listing is a plumbing and heating business with a phone number. I plan to call this business and see what the deal with this property is. I urge all parents who are concerned about who lives in your town to do the same. Let the owner know you won't accept this in your neighborhood. If we do nothing we get nothing.
