Since Peter Mayle’s book: A Year in Provence became a bestseller in 1989, many people have dreamed about moving to a picturesque village in southern France, as he and his family did. David Bouchier and his wife, Diane, have lived in two different French villages in the region adjoining Provence: Languedoc. For ten years he contributed a regular humor column for the LI section of the Sunday New York Times, and has published fiction and non-fiction in many literary and political magazines. David Bouchier has been a college teacher on both sides of the Atlantic. Currently, he is an award-winning essayist and commentator for National Public Radio, and lives part of the year in Stony Brook and the rest in a village near Uzes, France. All welcome. A free event.
