The Sayville Young People's Opera Workshop will present their 15th annual workshop performance the evenings of Thursday August 12 and Friday August 13 in the air-conditioned David M. Jones Auditorium at the Sayville Middle School. Each evening will feature the talents of young singer from both Nassau and Suffolk counties as they perform P.D.Q. Bach's short comic opera "Oedipus Tex", and excerpts from Aaron Copland's first opera "The Second Hurricane" as well as excerpts from Georges Bizet's classic opera  "Carmen". Performances will begin both nights at 7:30 and there is no admission charge. For additional information, please visit their website at http://sypow.tripod.com or email the directors at sypow.opera@yahoo.com.
