Islip Shelter Animals of the Week

The Town of Islip Animal Shelter is home to many lovable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens that are desperately looking to join the right family.  The shelter takes great pride in providing a clean and caring environment for all of their pets

Attention future pet owners; brace yourselves for Bobby. He is a Shepherd bull Terrier mixed breed dog. Bobby is neutered and up-to-date on all of his routine shots.

This guy is the perfect pet for the summer sun as his coat is already tan. Whether you're going for a walk on the boardwalk or trying to keep cool in the shade, Bobby is up for anything.

The Islip Animal Shelter says that although Bobby can have his shy moments, he is always willing to try new things and is a fast learner.

This guy is a regular goofball and the shelter says Bobby is sure to make you laugh with his silly personality. It won't take too much for Bobby to win you over and the shelter invites families to come in and meet him. His Pet ID Tag Number is 1560.

Louis is looking for love. He is a small adult Schnauzer mixed breed dog.

When Louis first arrived at the shelter his coat was overgrown and matted. The shelter's staff gave this little guy spa treatment starting with a good haircut. The shelter says his fur is growing in nicely and is already back to a medium length.

Louis can walk on his own four feet and is definitely more on the independent side. Nevertheless he's a pup who loves to play especially when treats are involved.

Although this cute canine is fun to play around with, Louis can be a little bit of a grump at times. The shelter feels he would do best in a home without any children.

Louis is neutered and up-to-date on all of his routine shots and vaccinations. His Pet ID Tag Number is 1309.

 All animals at the shelter (210 South Denver Avenue, Bay Shore) are vaccinated, spayed and neutered before leaving. The organization requires a pet adoption fee along with a pet application which can be found on the their website.
