Man Robs Sayville Bank
The robbery occurred Sunday morning. A bank in Port Jefferson Station was also robbed today.

SAYVILLE, NY- A man robbed a bank in Sayville Sunday morning, the first of two bank robberies in Suffolk County today, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, a man entered the TD Bank located at 188 N. Main Street at 11:45 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the demand and the man fled on foot in a northbound direction.
The robber, who had the lower half of his face covered, was described as white. He wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a gray jacket, blue or gray work pants and black gloves.

That description is similar to the description of a man who robbed a TD Bank in Port Jefferson Station Sunday afternoon, but police said they are still investigating to determine if the robberies are related.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on either robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
