Six runners on the Bayport-Blue Point High School's girls varsity cross country team finished ahead of Southampton on Oct. 18 to win 15-49, concluding the Phantoms regular season with a perfect 5-0 dual meet record. Katie Saroka (20:18), Courtney Dooley (20:18), Brianna Delzell (20:18), Taylor Darby (20:30), Shannon O'Hara (20:38) and Cassie Dooley (20:55) beat out Southampton's top runner. Phantoms now enter the championship portion of their season with the Division Meet, scheduled for a 1:55 start on Oct. 25. The lone Division Championship for the team was in 2000.  Let's go Phantoms!   Thank you to Rick Delzell for providing this information.
