A look at some recent arrests in the area.

All of the following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.

  • Steve Contreras, 23, of Bay Shore, was arrested in Farmingdale on May 7 on a charge of first degree criminal contempt
  • Rigoberto Campos, 27, of Wyandanch, was arrested in West Babylon on May 6 on two counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance
  • Ben Mendolia, 32, of Mastic, was arrested in West Babylon on May 6 on a charge of third degree robbery
  • Jeffery Nizen, 45, of Islip Terrace, was arrested in Lindenhurst on May 6 on a charge of assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon
  • Paul Bernard, 21, of Babylon, was arrested in Babylon on May 5 on a charge of second degree robbery
  • Bryan McClurkin, 27, of North Amityville, was arrested in West Babylon on May 5 on a charge of first degree robbery
  • Nahum Bustillocolindres, 20, of Huntington, was arrested in Greenlawn on May 9 on a charge of DWI-1st offense
  • Matthew Butterfield, 45, of Huntington, was arrested in Huntington Station on May 9 on a charge of fourth degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug
  • Joseph Abbattiello, 47, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on May 9 on a charge of first degree criminal contempt
  • Frank Carollo, 64, of Centerport, was arrested on May 8 on a charge of driving while ability impaired: combined drugs/alcohol
  • Wayne Sutherland, 58, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on May 7 on charges of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and resisting arrest
  • Roy Shelton, 70, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on May 7 on a charge of DWI-1st offense
  • Linda Wegielnik, 66, of Huntington, was arrested in Huntington on May 7 on charges of DWI-1st offense and resisting arrest
  • Steven Bratisax, 59, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Ronkonkoma on May 10 on a charge of DWI-1st offense
  • Matthew Sheehy, 58, of Medford, was arrested in Nesconset on May 10 on a charge of DWI-1st offense
  • Christopher Mele, 43, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Hauppauge on May 8 on a charge of third degree burglary
  • Samuel Aponte, 41, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Islandia on May 7 on a charge of DWI-1st offense
  • Crystal Cody, 33, of Hauppauge, was arrested in Smithtown on May 5 on a charge of third degree burglary

  • Darrin Reilly, 21, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested in Bellport on May 8 on a charge of second degree burglary
  • Paul Fasano, 40, of Holbrook, was arrested in Ronkonkoma on May 7 on a charge of DWI-1st offense
  • Daniel Marran, 58, of West Sayville, was arrested in West Sayville on May 7 on a charge of first degree criminal contempt
