2 Busted for DWI in Southampton Village Saturday: Police
Both drivers were charged with misdemeanors, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY - Southampton Village Police continued their quest to catch drunk drivers on Saturday, with two DWI arrests, police said.
First, on Saturday at 2:45 a.m., Jacob J. Diesu, 20, of East Islip was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said. Police stopped Diesu, who was operating a 2007 Dodge Ram while traveling on Old Town Road, for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, police said. Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
Next, at 4:12 a.m., Shakota R. Williams, 24, of Southampton was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.

Police stopped Williams, who was operating a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu while traveling eastbound on County Road 39, and charged her with DWI and failing to maintain her lane of travel. Upon further investigation, she was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said. Williams refused to take a breath test.
