Cops: Man Tosses Crack Pipe out Window in Flanders

The man was also charged with littering, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY: A West Babylon man was cuffed early Sunday after he tossed a crack pipe out the window during a traffic stop, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place on Sunday at 2:04 a.m. on Evergreen Road in Flanderss.

The man, 49, a passenger, was stopped for a traffic infraction and was observed throwing a crack pipe containing crack cocaine out the window after the car was stopped for a traffic infraction, police said.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and littering, a town code misdemeanor, police said. He was arrested at the scene, transported to police headquarters for arraignment, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
