Man Caught Driving with Xanax, Marijuana: Police
The arrest took place in Riverside, police said.

RIVERSIDE, NY: A Hampton Bays man was caught driving with Xanax and marijuana, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, on, Monday, May 23, at 7:15 p.m., members of the Southampton Town Police Department's community response unit were patrolling the Riverside Area when the officer noticed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker.
The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver, Joseph Boyd, 25, of Hampton Bays, police said.

Boyd was driving with a suspended license, police said.
The officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana and said Boyd possessed a quantity of marijuana and Xanax pills, police said.

His passenger, Rachel Muller, 23, of Hampton Bays was also found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, police said.
Boyd was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, a misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker, a violation, police said.
Muller was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and released on an appearance ticket to appear at Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
