Man Flees Scene after County Road 39 Accident: Police
The driver later turned himself in at police headquarters, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY - A Southampton man was arrested after he fled the scene of a car accident on County Road 39 Monday, police said.
Jorge Xajap-Ajcuc, 29, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury without reporting, a misdemeanor, and unlicensed operation, an infraction, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the accident took place at 7:55 a.m. on County Road 39 near Hill Station Road. Upon arrival, it was found the operator of the second involved vehicle had fled the scene, police said.

After an investigation, the second driver was found; he turned himself in at police headquarters later that morning, police said.
Xajap-Ajcuc was processed and released on an appearance ticket for a future court date, police said.
