Man Stopped in North Sea Found with Brass Knuckles, Marijuana: Police
The Hampton Bays man was speeding on Millstone Brook Road, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY - A Hampton Bays man caught speeding in North Sea was found with brass knuckles and marijuana, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, members of the Community Response Unit saw the vehicle speeding on Millstone Brook Road in North Sea on June 13 at 9:42 a.m.
The officer stopped the vehicle and noticed a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, police said. Steven Gonzalez, 24, of Hampton Bays was found to be "in possession of a large quantity of marijuana and a set of brass knuckles, police said.

Gonzalez was arrested and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and speeding, a violation, police said.
Gonzalez was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and taken to Southampton Justice Court to be arraigned, police said.
