Man Who Hid Crack Cocaine in His Pants Caught Red-Handed: Police
The crack fell to the ground and the man was busted, police said.

RIVERSIDE, NY - A Riverhead man who tried to hide crack cocaine in his pants was caught red-handed when the drugs fell to the ground, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, members of the department's Community Response Unit were patrolling Riverside on Saturday at 5:12 p.m. when they received complaints from an area resident about "suspicious subjects" and ongoing narcotics use.
An officer responded to the area and observed several subjects, police said. Upon approaching the group, one man, Shareem Giles, 45, of Riverhead, placed something within his pants, police said.

As the officer began to speak with Giles, the item he'd placed in his pants fell to the ground, and Giles was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine located within the container, police said.
Giles was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, police said. He was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
