Serious Accident on County Road 39 in Southampton Leads to Road Closure: Police
According to witnesses, passengers are trapped in the vehicle.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY - A serious accident on County Road 39 has led to an extended road closure of the road between North Sea Road and Sandy Hollow road, police said.
Originally, the road was closed only between Henry Road and North Sea Road, Southampton Town police said.
The accident, near the Burger King, took place at 3:05 p.m., with road closures in both directions commenced at 3:28 p.m.

According to witnesses, the accident is "major", with passengers trapped and rescue helicopter unable to fly due to the inclement weather.
