Shelter Island Man Threatens Violence After Person Tosses Trash Out Car Window: Police
The man was charged with harassment, police said.

A Shelter Island Heights man saw red after he witnessed someone tossing trash out of their car window.
According to Southampton Town Police, the arrest took place on Thursday at 6:55 p.m. on Mill Road in Noyac, when 46-year-old David Navarra was nabbed and charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Police said Navarra saw the garbage go flying out the window and then followed the motorist back to his residence, "threatening the victim with violence."

Navarra was arrested at the scene, transported to police headquarters for processing and released on an appearance ticket, police said.
