Unlicensed Woman Drove Drunk With Child in Car in Riverside: Police
The woman was charged with violating Leandra's Law, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY - A Flanders woman was busted for driving drunk with a child in the vehicle, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the arrest took place Friday at 1:52 a.m. on County Road 94 in Riverside whenFlora A. Suruy, 26, was seen driving a 2008 Mazda SUV northbound Flanders Road towards County Road 94, failing to maintain her lane of travel.
Upon police investigation it was discovered that Suruy was intoxicated and had a juvenile in the vehicle, police said.

She was arrested charged with violating Leandra’s Law, driving while intoxicated, a felony, failing to maintain lane, a violation, operation of a motor vehicle without a license, a violation, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, police said.
She was transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment; the juvenile was released to the custody of a family member, police said.
