Lighting of Malverne Set for This Weekend

One of the biggest events in Malverne is set for this weekend.

The Lighting of Malverne is gearing up for this weekend’s day full of food, music, lightings, and Santa appearances.

The celebrations begin Saturday morning with Breakfast with Santa. The big man will hang around all day for a movie at Malverne Theatre and bowling at San-Dee Lanes.

Malverne Public Library will also host storytime.

The main even kicks off with an ensemble performance and an opening ceremony at 4:30 p.m. at The Bridge Church. The tree will be lit at 5:30 p.m.

The celebration doesn’t end this weekend. The Lighting of the Menorah is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday near the fountain.
