Tarrytown Issues Fact Sheet On Coronavirus
The information contains steps that people can take to help prevent illness.
TARRYTOWN, NY — The Village of Tarrytown issued a status update on the new coronavirus, providing residents and visitors information on where the village and the region stands in regard to COVID-19, which is the formal name of the virus. Village Administrator Richard Slingerland said that New York and Westchester County are "wonderfully diverse areas," which are made up of people from various backgrounds and religions.
"This situation promises to be challenging for us all, but we must all work together to prevent biases and discrimination against persons of specific ethnicities or countries of origin," he said. "We ask everyone for patience, tolerance and understanding in order to weather this difficult time together."
The information, which can be accessed from the village's website, contains information on the new coronavirus, what steps one can do to protect oneself and the risks of the disease.

There are also local, county and state resources, as well as federal health agencies.
Currently, there are 18 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Westchester County. There are three cases in New York City and one on Long Island.
