Arctic Adventure at Nassakeag Elementary School

Kindergartners at Nassakeag Elementary School got a taste of life in the Arctic when the building's multipurpose room was transformed with student artwork and a number of fun polar activities.

The Arctic Adventure has been held for several years now and features ice fishing, sculpting animals with clay, hiking through snow with snowshoes, story time in an igloo and blubber tasting.

Open to students and parents, the event is held as a fun way for the children to gain a better understanding of the Arctic environment and its people, traditions and animals.
