• Men enter sewer system illegally in Wantagh, not yet found (longislandpress.com) — Police are investigating after five men were recorded opening a manhole and entering the sewer system at Wantagh Avenue and Jerusalem Avenue around 1:14 a.m. on August 27. Officers searched the sewers but found no one, and detectives still don't know why the men went underground, though authorities emphasize that entering the sewer system is illegal.
