'In The Heights' Premiere Postponed Due To Coronavirus: Report

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Lin-Manuel Miranda's film adaptation of "In The Heights" won't be released in June as planned due to the new coronavirus, Warner Bros. announced this week.
The Washington Heights-based movie is one of several that the production company has delayed releasing because of the pandemic, the Hollywood Reporter first reported.
"In The Heights" was originally set to hit theaters on June 26. The studio has not yet determined a new release date.

The latest news comes after "In The Heights" filmed at several neighborhood spots last month and over the summer. A trailer that came out in December shows that many Washington Heights landmarks will be featured in the film, which is an adaptation of the musical that won Miranda a Tony Award in 2008.
Movie theaters in New York and across the country have closed as states put in stay-at-home orders to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Warner Bros. also delayed the animated feature Scoob!, which was slated to be released on May 15, and Wonder Woman 1984, which was supposed to open June 5. The superhero movie was pushed to Aug. 14. Mulan, Black Widow, No Time To Die, A Quiet Place Part II and F9 also all had their released postponed due to the coronavirus.
